The Cape Town Concert Series, one of South Africa’s leading chamber music presenters, kicks off the first season of 2016 with top local and international performers.
On Saturday 20 February, pianist Amandine Savary accompanies violinist Jack Liebeck. In 2010, he won a Classical Brit in the young British classical performer category. He was soloist on the score for the 2011 film Jane Eyre and also for the 2012 film Anna Karenina, a soundtrack nominated for a BAFTA, Oscar, and Golden Globe.

On Saturday 19 March, pianist Annaline Ball accompanies cellist Amanda Forsyth. She left South Africa at two years of age and began playing the cello at the age of three. She then became a protégé of William Pleeth in London and later studied with Harvey Shapiro at the Juilliard School in New York and with Lynn Harrell in Los Angeles.
On Saturday 16 April, pianist Ammiel Bushakevitz performs. He was born in Jerusalem, but subsequently moved to South Africa and regards this as his home. He studied at the University of Pretoria, the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy in Germany and the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris in France.
On Saturday 21 May, violinist David Juritz performs. In 2014, he initiated the ‘All Beethoven String Quartets’ project with the Amici String Quartet with plans to perform all the Beethoven string quartets over a series of visits to South Africa. He performs with fellow musicians Suzanne and Peter Martens and Karen Gaertner.
On Saturday 11 June, pianist Bryan Wallick accompanies violinist Rachel Lee Priday. She began her violin studies at the age of four and, in 1996, moved to New York to study with the late pedagogue Dorothy DeLay, continuing her studies with Itzhak Perlman at the Pre-College Division of The Juilliard School.
